They map the exact dimensions of every countertop section, mark sink and cooktop cutout locations, and note edge profiles and backsplash heights. Digital templating is accurate to 1/16 of an inch.

The fabrication shop cuts and polishes your countertops from the slab you selected. This includes the edge profile (eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, waterfall), sink cutout, cooktop cutout, and any specialty cuts for corners or angles. Fabrication typically takes 5-10 business days after templating.
The installation crew brings the finished countertop sections to your home and sets them on the cabinets. Sections are joined with color-matched epoxy seams. The undermount sink is installed and connected. Backsplash pieces are set if included. Most kitchen countertop installations take 2-4 hours. Bathroom vanity tops take 1-2 hours.
Total timeline from template to installation: 2-3 weeks for standard projects. Rush fabrication is available from some shops at an additional fee.
